When it comes to making your eyes look as best as possible, eyebrows are just as important as eyelashes! Eyebrows are the crown of the face so the shape should be as perfect as possible. We’re excited to launch another way to enhance your eyebrows, Henna Brows! Henna lasts longer, has a stronger pigment and is more customisable than the standard tint. It’s been around for a very long time and has recently gotten popular because it’s a natural, plant based dye. We have a whole range of different colours that you can choose from to get look you’re after!
When should you not get henna brows done?
If it’s your first time to get Henna Brows and your skin has never been exposed to henna before (either with tattoos or brows), then we recommend that you come in for a quick patch test at least 24 hours before your Henna Brows appointment. Henna is plant based so there is a chance that some people may be allergic to it.

We may not be able to go ahead with Henna Brows if:
- After the Patch Test there are signs of bumps, soreness, itchiness, redness on the skin because all of these indicate sensitivity to the henna dye.
- You have had a history of allergic reaction to any form of henna dye E.g. hair dye or tattooing.
- You are allergic to grass or seeds
- You have skin complications such as eczema, infection, wound, dry skin, cuts or scabbing in the brow area.
- You have very mature skin with sunspots and sun damage on the brow area, as the result may be patchy/uneven.
Please note: The henna treatment may not last as long as usual if you regularly use retinols, AHA or BHA-based products. This is because chemical exfoliants promote cell turnover, which tends to make the henna fade more quickly. Also, if you do a lot of skin treatments in the brow area, it may not last as long because Henna needs a thicker epidermis to be more effective.

FAQs
What is the difference between a usual eyebrow tint and henna?
Eyebrow tint is a vegetable dye that’s activated by peroxide. Regular tint colours the eyebrow hairs, making them appear fuller and darker. It lasts roughly 2-4 weeks and is perfect for those wanting to build up colour for their existing eyebrow hair.
Henna is a plant based dye which is free of peroxide activators.
Henna tint not only colours the hair, but it also colours the skin. It penetrates the hair follicle differently, making the tint on the hair last longer than a regular tint. It lasts roughly 6-8 weeks as opposed to just 2-4 weeks with a regular eyebrow tint.
Henna tint is perfect if your brows have little to no hair as it builds fullness with colour on the skin. It’s also great if you want your tints to last longer!
What are the benefits of Henna Brows?
Henna Brows have a lot of benefits:
- Lasts 4-6 weeks which is longer than regular eyebrow tints
- The natural tattoo-like powder also colours the skin beneath the brow to enhance the effect
- Perfect for resistant grey & white brows
- Natural nutrients encourage new hair growth and helps to repair hair damage
- Conditions the hair making it appear more shiny & healthy
What is Henna dye?
Henna is natural hair dye extracted from the Henna plant. Henna has been used for beauty treatments like body art, as a hair dye and for medical purposes. Henna helps encourage hair growth, acting like a skin barrier and skin/hair conditioner. It has a rich and strong pigment and it lasts longer than a normal tint. Henna will also colour the skin temporarily which will give you extra definition to your brows.
How long do Henna Brows last?
Usually Henna Brows will last 4-6 weeks on the hair and about 2 weeks on the skin. How long they last depends on how well you look after them and your lifestyle. For example, frequent swimming in chlorinated pools or sun exposure might make it fade faster.
Will Henna Brows be effective on white/grey hair?
Henna has a rich and strong pigment which great for grey/white hair. A standard tint may not colour grey/white hair as well as Henna. As the colour is deeper and darker, we recommend to do a Patch Test first to find the colour that suits you best.
Will Henna Brows work on cosmetic tattoos?
Yes, Henna Brows can enhance your eyebrow tattoo. Henna Brows are a semi permanent brow enhancement that will freshen up your brows without interfering with the pigments underneath the skin from the eyebrow tattoo. It will only colour the hair and the surface of the skin.
Will Henna Brows work on anyone?
Definitely, Henna Brows are perfect for anyone at any age. We have a big range of colours and shades for you to choose from. We’ll customise the colour to suit your skin tone and hair colour to make sure you get the exact look you want.
